Chapter 26

"They are coming back to get you."

Would you be scared? Would you follow them into the cave?  What about Katherine, would you have let her go with you?

  1. Yes, I would be scared to go into the cave but I would still do it anyway. I would follow them into the cave. I would follow them into the cave because i would want to know what is going on in the cave. I would her go in just in case something happened.

I think that I would be pretty scared to go in the cave just because it is a cave, and because that there are men rounding up all the babies from the plane into the cave. I would probably go into the cave because I would want to be there to help to protect the other folks. I think that it would be best for Katherine to come into to the cave because she could help and could maybe find out some information or give information to other folks.

What would happen once they entered the cave? Why are they going into this cave?

  3. Brandon Calkins,

Yes I would be scared because I really dislike caves a lot. I wouldn't follow the others at all, because I may get trapped in the cave or have something worse then that. I'd say no on letting Katherine go because of the fact of hearing her whine and complain about things that aren't needed to be discussed about. If Katherine didn't go to the cave with me then I would be a little calmer then if she did come.

  4. I would be horrified to go into that cave. I hate caves so much, even being in one for 5 minutes makes me sweaty, dizzy, and nauseous. Also, the whole hand scanner thing creeps me out. You don't know who touched it. It might be filthy. But that's beside the point. They could do terrible things to you in the middle of the woods, in a cave. It is creepy. I would not go in, and I would not let Katherine go in either. It is to risky.

I would be scared to go in a cave with no light and not knowing who or what is in there. Also I have a theory. I think e is Mr. Hodge. Back to the subject. Also we don't know what type of monsters are in there.

I would be a little scared, but I probably would have went in. If there was any danger that aroused then I would probably fight my way out before any time traveling started to happen. I wouldn't act scared though because that would cause suspicion upon myself, most likely causing more danger. What I mean is even if I was scared I would get out of there one way or another.

Yes, I would be scared. I would not follow them into the cave. Following strangers into a cave is scarier than going into a cave with people I do know and that I could trust. You don’t know what is going to happen in a cave with the strangers or what they are going to do with the kids. I would let Katherine go with me into the cave because she is someone I trust. I would want her to be with me so we could help each other and keep each other safe.

  9. I would be happy to go in the cave, I live for danger. Caves, Hikes, Mountains. I love anything with adventure. I would follow them into the cave, I would have no choice. All the other kids in there that could get hurt, it is too much of a risk. Also if I didn't go they would notice and try and get me. Same with Katherine. As much as I would want her to stay out of it I would let her because they would notice. Also another person to help you out in a time of need. Plus caves are full of rocks lying around so if they tried to harm me I could bash their head.

I think I might be a little bit scared, but not too badly. I would follow them into the cave. I also would let Katherine go with me into the cave. I think if something bad happened it would suck though, because I would have to not only protect myself, but also Katherine. But her being there with me would mean she could also help me out if I needed it.

  11. I would be scared, because I wouldn't know what is in the cave. It could be a trap and it could be a way for Mr. Hodge to get them onto the plane. I would go into the cave. I would do this because it might be a trap, yet it could just be a plain old cave. I would also go into the cave because it could be a way to meet all the other children from the survivors list. I would bring Katherine because she is the one who studied the survivors list, so she knows the names. I would also bring her because she could run away back to her parents to get help if something goes wrong.

  12. Yes i would be scared. I think that curiosity would get the best of me so i would go in the cave anyways. No i would not let Katherine go because she was not a baby on the plane. I would be like Katherine and not actually touch the rock.

Based on what I read, I would be scared but I would still go in the cave anyway. I would be scared because I don't know what is in the cave for all I know it could be a trap for Mr. Hodge to get us on the plane. If there is any harm in the cave at least there are a few rocks, I might be able to defend myself with them. I know getting a rock thrown at you hurts, so I could distract them and go in for the hit. I would still go in the cave because someone special might be there, or maybe the other kids on the survival list. I personally would bring Katherine because she is important, Katherine knows everyone on the survival list. So if we do run into anyone from the survival list we will know some what of who they are. Katherine would also be important because she is one of the only people I can trust. If I brung Katherine we could also protect each other and if anything bad happens I know she is with me.

When I first heard "they are coming back to get you", I thought that "E" was coming to get them. I would be scared because the thoughts that I might be thinking is that they could kidnap me. I would follow them into the cave because if I didn't they would think I'm suspicious. I would let Katherine come because I would feel that she would be safer with everybody else.

I do not think you should go in the cave. What if something bad happened? If you had a little sister you would let her go in the cave? I think that is crazy!

  15. I would be scared because of the new note saying "THEY ARE COMING BACK TO GET YOU!". No I wouldn't follow them into the cave because I am not very stealthy and they could find me easily. Yes I would let Kathrine in with me so I'm not alone. I would bring Kathrine because I don't like being alone.

Above all of the things that could possibly happen to anyone who was a baby on a plane that was sent back in time, this would be the number one thing to worry about. If I were a baby from that plane, I would not follow some random people into a cave that could possibly kidnap you and stuff you into a time traveler. I would be scared and thinking back to the note that I would have got in the mail saying, "Beware! They are coming back to get you!" I would be very suspicious and want to get out of there immediately. If I were to be strong enough to go into the cave though, I would not let Katherine go in with me. I would not want to risk loosing my sister. I would want her to get help. All I would know is that I would go into the cave (if I were brave enough.) and try to get through whatever it is that I have to go through.

I would not be sceard to go in the cave but I would at the same time because I love caves and I love to explore. On the other hand we are being leaded by Mr.hodge, dramatized by a story for kids, and paranoid from a letter that says "THEY ARE COMING FOR YOU". So real life me would go but book me would not. Yes I would let katherine go with me for 2 reasons.
1 because throw out the book she has prooved to me that she is strong and brave enough to go in with me. and second she is her own person so if she wants to go she can but if she doesn't she doesn't have to.

I would be a little scared to go in. First I have no clue what is in there. Second it could be a trap. If any thing bead happened there are a few rocks in there. I personally would take Katherine in because she is good to have. She studied the survivors list and she can run back to their parents if something we're to go wrong.

I would be scared to go in the cave. But I would go in the cave. I wouldn't take Katherine though because if it was a trap I wouldn't want my sister to get involved. I would tell Katherine the same thing Jonah did, run. I would tell Kathrine to hide in the bushes and when the line leaves she should run.

If I was Jonah I would not go into that cave. I especially would not put my hand on that cold rock! I also would not let Katherine go because none of that is her business. I also would not let her go because Chip knows every name on the survivors list so I would not need two people who know all of the names. The last reason I would not let her go is because if something did happen I would not want her to go through it.

I would be scared but follow them into the cave. I would let Kathrine come to because she know some stuff I don't. I think that Jonah and Chip are going to learn who they are, where they came from and what time period they came from. I think Hodge and Gary are going to tell them what what James Reardon would not.

  22. I would be scared to follow them into the cave. I do not know what could be living in there. I do not know what it is going to lead me too. I would not take Katherine, she could get really hurt or even killed for that fact. I would be TERRIFIED!

I would be scared to go in the cave. I would not go into the cave because a bear could be in there. I would not take Katherine in there because she could get eaten. If I did go in there I would bring a gun to protect myself, but you cant bring guns to school.

I wouldn't have gone into the cave. I wouldn't of because of the fact that there could be something in the cave. I wouldn't of let Katherine come. The reason I wouldn't of let Katherine come is because she would be in danger along with Chip and Jonah. The final reason I wouldn't of let her come is because of the fact that it could be a trap. Just like it said on page 240, if something happened to Katherine and Jonah, their mom and dad would be heart breaking to them. If something happened to just Jonah, Katherine would be able to help find what happened to them, because she knows what is going on.

  25. I would be scared out of my mind, but I would not show it. I would go into the cave, because I am very curious of what the guides are going to do to us. I would allow Katherine to come because she has a right to know of what is going on, because she has helped us so much already. Also, Katherine could record what the guides are saying on her phone, which could be a great help later on in the book.

I would be more nervous than scared. The kids were herded into the cave. They really didn't have much choice or time to think about what was happening. I would have gone into the cave and there is more kids than adults. If Katherine left she may have been in more jeopardy than to just go with the other kids.

From reading chapter 26 I know that I would not go into the cave. I would not go into the the cave because something can happen. If they had made the cave and it had doors you would get stuck. I would let Katherine go, she cares a lot of the information and she can catch things that the two boys can’t.

  28. I would be very scared. I would have asked questions. I would have had Kathrine go get our parents. If we didn't come back in 2 hours, I would have had Kathrine bring the police to the cave. I don't get why Jonah didn't tell his parents in the first place.

If I was in this situation I would not follow them into the cave. It is obvious that they wanted them to touch the light for a specific reason. I would not take Katherine. I think that it would be more dangerous inside.

I would be scared because Jonah thought that the rock was a hand scanner to see if they were all the thirty-six babies from the plane. I would not go into the cave with the other kids and I would not take Katharine into the cave because she is not Daniella McCarthy, and I think that it would be more dangerous in the cave.

If I was in Jonah, Chip, and Kathrine problem I would be scary. I would probable not follow them into the cave. I would not because I would be way to scared. Then If I did go into the cave I would let her go with me so I would not be alone.

  33. If I was Jonah I would be very scared. I would not let Kathrine go anywhere near the cave because she wasn't adopted and I wouldn't want her to get hurt. I think that Jonah and Kathrine have a plan worked out and they are going to escape with Chip. I think Jonah is to scared of Gary to run so he is going to wait until after he gets in the cave.

Yes, I would be pretty scared to go into that cave. I would be scared to go in the cave because I don't know what is in there or what could happen to me. Even though I would be scared to go in the cave I would still go in it. I would let Katherine go into the cave because she has been pretty useful throughout the book. I would also let her go because if she did run off to her parents Gary would be at the end of the line to stop her and who knows what he could do to her.

I would not have gone in to the cave because I remembered that J.B said E would mess up the future. I would probably be pretty scared if I was to walk into the cave. I would have not let Katherine come into the cave because she hasn't experienced a whole childhood. When I go in to the future I would remember my child hood.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yes, I would be scared I mean you're walking into a cave with a suspicion on what’s going on and it’s not good so yeah I’d be scared. Even if I was scared I would go in, and if I wanted to get out of the cave I would at least try to get all the other kids to come with me. With Katherine I would most likely try to tell her not to come along just in case something happened that we couldn’t do anything about. But knowing Katherine she would probably come any ways.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I would be scared because I think Gray is E and if he is then he could kidnap us and take us away forever. I would follow them into the cave to see what could happen to Katherine and Chip. I would also stay in the cave because if I try to escape Gray might ask me why I’m going outside and tell me to go back in the cave. I would let Katherine go with me because I feel she would be able to get us out of a very dangerous situation that Chip and I can’t get out of. Also, I would want her because I want her to know everything that is going to happen in the cave. She also might get released if Mr. Hodge and Gray find out she is not Daniella.

  38. After reading chapter twenty-six, I have a very explanatory answer for all of this chapter's questions. I think that I would be scared out of my mind! This is a situation where everyone could be doomed! It seems to me that everyone is being kidnapped! I would NOT go into the cave. I would grab Katherine and Chip, and as many people as I could and yell, "RUN!" It could reveal Mr. Hodge and Gary's true selves. They could use some sort of machinery to stop us and take us with them. However, it could mean others could get away...or the complete opposite. I wouldn't want to let anyone in the cave, let alone Katherine! Once Mr. Hodge and Gary find out that Daniella isn't there and Katherine is faking it, who knows what they'll do to her!

If I were at the cave, I would be freaked out. I would probably be so scared I wouldn’t be able to move. I would not follow them into the cave. I would try as hard as I could to get out of the situation. I might just run away or I might try to come up with an excuse as to why I would need to leave. As for katherine, I would have taken her with me. Why would I put her in danger? If something would have happened to her and I was Jonah, I would probably blame myself since I was the one who wanted her to come in the first place.

I would be scared of going into the cave. I would still follow because Gary the big dude would be right behind me and the would probably force me to touch the rock. I would let Katherine come with me. This is because I wouldn't want to waste five minutes arguing with Katherine when I could try to think of what to do next. I’m not going to waste any time that I could be using to warn people and try to slip away.

I would be scared hearing the words "there coming back to get you" because I'll be afraid that I would never see my family again. I would not follow them. I would run back to my parents. I wouldn't have Katherine go in I would have told her to run back to the parents.

In my opinion, why would you even want to follow a bunch of strange, shady looking men, into a cave withh no other adults know! Besides, like I said for the last post on the blog, everything is obviously starting to come together! Why can't these people see it coming? Especially those letters would give you a very big lead about what was going to happen when that guy started really pressing down everyones hands ont the strange rock. Of course the letters right in the beginging are very scary, so yes I would be scared. And fianlly, if Katherine was my sister, I know it's sorta rude to the parents but, IF I'M GOING DOWN SHE'S COMING WITH ME!

If I were in Jonahs situation I would be really scared. It is such a bad situation with so much stress for a young person. As I said in my last answer I would be courageous and go in the cave and face the challenge head on. I would also feel like I wanted to get to the bottom of this mystery and get it over with. I would let Katherine come with me because it is her choice. I feel like it might not be safe, but I it is still her choice.

I would be scared. One reason I would be scared is because they were having Jonah, Chip, Katherine and all the other kids go into a cave and touch a wall. I think they were making the kids touch the wall to make sure they are one of the thirty six babies that were on the airplane. I wouldn’t follow them into the cave because they’re not trusting. The reason I say this is because Gary reminded Jonah of the E from the library.

I would definitely be scared. If the rock is a hand scanner, it is probably high tech and from the future. I would not want to go into the cave because, I could lose everything I have My parents, home, family, pets, etc… I wouldn’t want Kathrine to go because she shouldn’t lose everything she loves or even her life, just to see what happens in the cave.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I would 100% be scared. First E is making everyone touch a rock that "supposedly" feels different then everywhere else. Jonah's hand scanner logic isn't bad. I would not want to follow them into the cave. E would take me back into the future where I don't want to go. He would be stilling my family friends.....everything. I would let Katherine go because she is the only hope that Jonah and Chip have to get out of there.

I would be paranoid like Jonah if I got a letter in the mail stating, "THEY'RE COMING BACK TO GET YOU!". I would follow both men into the cave thinking it would just be a part of the event. But if I saw the door of the cave shut, I would try to get out of there as fast as possible like Jonah. Also, I would let Katherine come me because she seems to help out a lot solving the mystery about my adoption.

I would be terrified, I would not follow them into the cave. It would most likely be a trap. The whole thing about the hand scanner is scarey. Why would they need your hand print. Yes, I would be scared. I would not follow them into the cave because I would not trust them. After reading the "they're coming back to get you" letter, I wouldn't trust anyone. I would not have gone into the cave. I would have made up an excuse about being afraid of caves so I wouldn't have to go in. If I did have to go in, I would let Katherine come with me so that she could gather as much info to take back home when she tries to escape.

I would follow them into the cave. I would do this because there could be a chance of it not being anything bad, and just a normal experience. Though, it would be hard letting Katherine in, because as we read, he seemed as if he was paying attention to getting the kids to touch it. I would be very scared, this is because I wouldn't know if I just made a mistake or helped my sister.

  57. Based on what I read I would follow everyone into the cave because #.1 I would want to warn everyone #.2 I would want to see what was really going on. I would definitely be scared because I am going into a cave that they said people closed it of to the public. I would be scared because what if there was like a animal that hasn't been discovered yet and we all could get hurt. I don't think I would invite Katheren because she is my sister and I wouldn't want anything to happen to her and I this she is More of a risk taker and she could get on a plane even though Jonah told her not to.

I would be very scared if I met Gary and Mr. Hodge because I don’t know who they are and why I would trust them enough to go with them into a scary cave. It might be a risk but I would go follow them into a cave to see and hear what happens when they go into the cave. If I don’t go with them in the cave I won’t see what happens to the kids on the survivors list and I won’t get any more information that I need. Yes, I would let Katherine go with me into the cave because she will also get the same amount of information that going without her. Like I said it would be very dangerous to go. If I go I could either get seriously hurt or injured or get ordinary information

If I was Jonah I would not be scared. I would be more skeptical than scared. I would go into the cave so they wouldn't get suspicious. It seems like there is no way out at this point. I think I would say no to Katherine going into the cave. If they did make her use the scanner, she could be in great danger if they found out she wasn't one of the missing babies.

I would probably be terrified but I would follow them into the cave. If I made a big scene before I entered the cave then the other kids wouldn't back me up. I might have a chance to talk to them in the cave. If I could talk to them, some of them might believe me. Then I could make a scene. I also would have let Katherine go with me. She's kind of like a secret weapon. If touching the rock did something to you, then Katherine's their backup plan.

If I met Mr. Hodge and Gary, I wouldn’t be scared of them; I would be terrified because they think Gary is actually E (The first time they saw E was in conference room B with Angela DuPre when it was the big fight.) I would follow the group it the cave to get more information/clue. If I was Jonah, I would also have let her go with me because it would be better to have even more backup. When they was about to enter into the cave, Mr. Hodge said that” There’s a really interesting rock formation, right as you enter the cave. Jonah watches as each kids press their hand on the rock. And for each of them Mr. Hodge pressing it firm. He seem so determined that each of the kids touch the rock. Then Jonah realized that the rock was a hand scanner. They were checking their identities, to make sure that they were the baby from the plane.

Based on what I read I would have been nervous about going into the cave if I was one of those kids. I would have been nervous because I wouldn't have known what we were going to do there. I would have followed them into the cave because if I ran away then I would probably have attracted attention, and someone could have run after me. I would also go inside because if I ran away then Chip and Katherine would be left alone and I wouldn't be able to help them if something happened. From my reading I know that Jonah sent a warning to Katherine about the rock. If I had been Jonah I would have made a warning too. I would also have let her come with me because she was the one who was actually listening to what Mr. Hodge was saying.

If I was told, "they're are coming back to get you," I would be quaking in my boots. How terrifying is that random statement. It's like someone could came to take you at any time, with that one warning. As for the cave, absolutely not. You're following a random person into a cave. The only was I would do this is if they something about the time warp theory. If that were the case, I would take Katherine with me. But without that statement, I would not even set foot into the cave.
