Chapters 9, 10,11, & 12

There were many strange happenings/moments in these chapters.  Which events do you determine to be the important ones to remember for later on in the book?

  1. Out of all the strange happenings in the book, the most important ones to remember for later on is that their names were in the file, and the fact that there was a "ghost." I think that the file is the most important, because it said that Jonah and Chip were survivors. Does that mean that the other names were of people who died, or what? I think that the file is a very important part of this story. The other important thing, the ghost could mean anything. In the prologue, the plane with all the babies just came out of nowhere, just like the ghost in Katherine's description. The plane with the babies could be related to the ghost.

I think the event in the bathroom with the ghost is a very important event. Another important event is when the ghost that Katherine saw in Mr. Reardon's office got out the file out the filing cabinet. The discussion about Jonah with Mr. Reardon and Jonah's was very important too. The most important event out of all though is when Chip, Jonah, and Katherine all download the files from the computer and they see that Chip and Jonah aren't victims, but instead survivors.

  2. Out of the many strange but important moments in this book, the most important ones to remember for later in the book is that there names were in the file that was titled survivors. Chip and Jonah were survivors of what? What happened that made them survivors. If they are survivors then does that mean that there are other names of other people who were dead or what? Also the Ghost the description of the Ghost from the prologue with all the babies in the plain. Does this mean that the babies and the Ghost are related? What if the babies were the other survivors? I think that the Ghost and the babies could have something incommon

  3. Out of the many strange happenings in these chapters, I feel like the file is the most important to remember in the future. When Chip pieced the pictures together, it had Jonah and Chip's first and last name on it. And it was titled survivors. This might be another clue to the prologue. Witnesses might mean that there was a accident in a flight. But what Katherine saw the ghost might be important as well, maybe this ghost was one of the non-survivors. But I think that if it had Chip's name and Jonah's name that their adoptions might be connected more than we thought.

From my reading, I know that many strange things are going on, but out of all those strange things I feel that the file in James Reardon's office will be the most important thing to remember later on in the book. I think this file will be important to remember later on because when Chip pulled up the images of the file on his computer and pieced together images that Katherine took it had both Jonah's and Chip's name on it and it was titled survivors. Also another important thing to remember would be the ghost that Katherine said she saw in James Reardon's office. This ghost might be important because in the prologue there is a plane filled with babies. I think that the people that are listed on the survivors listed could possibly the survivors from the plane. Now maybe the ghost could have been a non-survivor and that is why he wanted Jonah to see the file on James desk.

  7. In my opinion, the strangest thing that happened in chapters 9, 10, 11, and 12 is the janitor ghost. The ghost had a plan at Mr. Reardon's office to help Jonah. I think this will be important event to remember for later. I also think that it is strange that Jonah's sister, Katherine, is helping him. Maybe she will be playing an important roll later.

  8. Brandon Calkins,

1.) Jonah's sister has to stay home while the rest of the family is going to talk to a FBI agent. The strange part of that time was that Katherine had never stayed home alone before and she was refusing to do it. That reason why Katherine stayed home was probably because her mom and dad thought Katherine was old enough now to stay home alone.

2.) When the parents got to the place they needed to be at, the guy said that Jonah is from a different country. That was strange because the parents thought Jonah was from the U.S.A. instead of somewhere else.

I think Katherine might stay home more often because their might be more times when the family goes to places that doesn't involve her. I also think that they will find out where Jonah came from.

From reading chapters 9,10,11, and 12 I know that a lot strange mishaps had happened. Some things that happen that we should keep in mind are the phone call from Jonah’s Dad, Katherine waiting in the office when the janitor came in, when Jonah and this Family were in the office mentally fighting, and when Jonah left the office to throw up. All so when the ghost came into the bathroom and the office if this all happened to me I would be running away as fast as I could. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

After reading 9, 10, 11, and 12, I think some of the strangest happenings that I think will be most important to remember later on in the book is when Jonah saw the ghost man. Another very important thing that I think I will have to remember later on in the book is when Jonah and chip both found their names on the survivors list. I found this part to be extremely weird. I wonder what will happen when I flip to the next page! I also think that the ghost man will have something to do with Jonah's and Chip's adoptions. I can only imagine what will happen next.

There were a few strange things that happened in these chapters. One strange thing that happened was when Jonah went to the bathroom a man was talking to him. The man told Jonah a blue folder was going to appear on Mr. Reardon’s desk that wasn’t there when Jonah left for the bathroom. Jonah thought this was strange coming from the man he thought was the janitor. When Jonah went back the folder was there. Jonah asked his sister to memorize stuff in the folder while he distracted his parents and Mr. Reardon. Another strange thing that happened later at Chip’s house Katherine told Jonah about a ghostly figure she saw in Mr. Reardon’s office pull out a folder while Jonah was in the bathroom.

From my reading, I know that some strange things have been happening throughout the book so far. For example, while Jonah was throwing up in the meeting, Katherine was certain she saw a man appear, place a folder on Mr. Reardon's desk, and just..."vanish".
Then, when Jonah, Chip, and katherine were looking at the pictures of the folder, Chip and Jonah's names were at the bottom of the list titled survivors....but survivors of what?
I still don't know where all the strange letters are coming from, or why James Reardon wouldn't give any information. So far, I think that these are the strangest events in the book.

  13. I think that one of the most important events to remember for later would be the fact that Jonah and Chip discovered their names in the file. Their names were the last two listed under the "Survivors" title from the file. I also think it's interesting how the janitor keeps appearing and disappearing over and over. Maybe he is a ghost, and died on the plane crash. Maybe the "ghost" is trying to tell the boys something-he did take the files out and put them on the desk so the boys would find it. Another thing I found to be strange is how Mr. Reardon seemed like he didn't want Jonah and his family in his office. He seemed to be trying to get rid of them.

Chip and katherine are hopinf to figure out who is sending all those letters, and what the FBI is hiding. they also want to figure out who was the ghost, or if it was even a ghost, and if it was not, then what was it? they also want to know why every single kid on the survivors list live in the same area of them and are adfopted and are all around the age of 13. From what I have read, Chip and Katherine are basicly looking for the answers of every wierd thing that has happened.
Jonah doesn't want to help or have anything to do with the investingation because it is too overwhelming and the situation simply does not make sense. So he does not want to accept the at there are ghosts, letters telling the truth, or something big that the FBI has been hiding for years. (13 years to be exact) He just doesn't want to believe it's true.

  15. The strange things that are happening in the book that they should remember are first, the letter that is entitled "Survivors". Second, the Janitor that gave the other Janitor the mountain dew who gave it to Jonah. Third, the bathroom police officers. Lastly, Mr. Reardon not having a copier or printer.

Did you think it is weird that Mr. Reardon did not give Jonah answers? I thought that was very weird. I think Jonah should be able to know where he was born. If I was adopted I would want to know where I was born.

The strange events happening in the book that I think are memorable are Mr. Reardon refuses to give Jonah any answers. Then Katherine saw a ghost put a file on Mr. Reardon's desk . After that the same ghost told Jonah to memorize as much stuff as he could in the file. Jonah got sick from Mountain Dew even though he loved Mountain Dew.

The weird events in these chapters that I think would be memorable are that Katherine saw a "ghost". Also that it was the same ghost Jonah saw in the bathroom. Mr. Reardon didn't tell them where Jonah was from. Also that the file said that Jonah and Chip were survivors.

Out of the strange happenings in the four chapters the most important ones to remember is. Katherine saw a ghost. Jonah and chip are survivors. It could mean that they are really special because of them surviving what they survived.

This is my correction to the above comment:

Out of the strange things happening in these chapters, I believe the most important is that Katherine saw a ghost. I think that it is important that the ghost that Katherine had seen, was the same ghost that Jonah had seen. I also believe that finding out Jonah and Chip are survivors is a very important fact. This could mean that they are really special people, because they survived something.

I think the most important thing that was strange was the file with Chip and Jonah's name under the "Survivor" category. What made me think it was strange was the fact that they were the only two names. Is there more names, does this mean the others died? This strange thing definitely makes Jonah and Chip special in some way. Another thing that struck me as important was Katherine's ghost sighting. It appears out of no where, just like the plane in the prologue that Angela claims to come out of nowhere. Could it be the ghost and the plane are related in some way?

  21. In these chapters many things have happened. The event that I think we should remember for later on in the book is when the janitor tells Jonah to look in the files on the Mr.Reardon desk. Then Jonah has him look away so Katherine can take a picture of the names that where in the file with her phone. I think that the picture that Kathrine took can be something important in these next chapters.

The most important thing that happened in these chapters is the ghost. Katherine saw a ghost take the files out of a cabinet and set it on the table. She was the only one who saw it so it probably means that it is just Katherine imagining it. There was a lot of important events in these chapters I find this one the most important.

I think that the most important thing that happened is Jonah and Chip saw their names under the survivors list. They were the last two names under that file. I also find it weird how it seemed like Mr. Reardon was trying to get rid of Jonah's family. I also find it interesting that the janitor ghost keeps appearing and disappearing. I think that he is trying to tell Jonah something. Maybe he was one of the people on the plane, but died instead of surviving.

There are a lot of crazy things happening in this book! There are also some good things happening in the book, like Jonah getting more information about his birth parents. If I remember all the things that happened in these chapters, I could use them later on in the book. I would have to remember things like Jonah going to meet James Reardon and James threatening/bullying Jonah's family. A couple more details I will have to remember is Jonah and Chip's name were in the same file, there was a ghost in the bathroom talking to Jonah, and the names in the file Katherine took pictures of (Angela DuPre, 812 Stonebenge Court, 555-0184).

Based on what I read, a few of the many strange happenings in these chapters were spooky. For example, Jonah saw the janitor ghost in the restroom. I find it weird how he keeps appearing and disappearing out of nowhere telling Jonah what to do. For example, Jonah was told to read off and remember as many names in the file on Mr.Reardon's desk as possible. Based on what I read, it seems as if when Jonah's family went to go visit Mr.Reardon, he tried to get Jonah's family out as fast as possible. I feel like Mr.Reardon knows something important that might happen to them. One more thing that I believe is important to remember for later chapters are all of the names Jonah's sister took pictures of.

First, I think one of the most important events to remember for later in the book is when they got the letters that said " You are one of the missng" and "They are coming back to get you". I think that it is important to remember these because it could mean that someone is looking for them, and that they are trying to come and get them again, and someone is trying to warn them about it. Another important thing to remeber is the man who told Jonah to get into the file on the desk. I think that might be the person who is warning him with the letters. I think this because he told Jonah to get into the file, knowing that it was there.
Finally, the biggest thing to remember is the pictures that Katherine took of the files. I think that they will use them in later in the book, or oneof the pictures could have a picture of Jonah or Chips real birth certificates.

In chapters 9-12 I think there are a lot of moments to remember. But I think two things stand out. First important is when Jonah is in the bathroom and meets the Janitor. I think the Janitor has something to do with his adoption. Another thing that I think is important is James Reardon not telling them anything. When James keeps looking at the file I think that was the part of information he was hiding, but I still think there is more he is hiding from them.

  28. I think I should remember the Janitor because he seems's to have somthing to do with adoptions. Another reoson is is because of the files when he was showing the sirvivor list. the sirvivor list is another thing that stands out. I wonder if maybe the people on the sirvivor list where the only ones whos sirvived the "plane crash".I wonder if Chip And Jonah were on it.

In chapters 9, 10, 11, and 12 I think what will be important to remember is The Janitor, and the documents. I think the janitor will be important to remember because of his super natural powers to just appear and disappear. Also, in the book it says that he was "Kind of wavery and see-through." Implying that he could be an apparition and/or a time traveler. Finally, I think the documents will be important because the man from the F.B.I kept on looking at it, nervous that Jonah would look inside of it and see something he wasn't, or see something super top secret. The documents will also be important because janitor said to memorise all the names you can but instead Jonah's sister took a picture of them.

The most important things that happened in the book was the file, the janitor ghost, and the meeting with Angela. Why I think that the file was important because it said that Chip and Jonah where survivors and that there were other survivors and there were also witnesses and Angelena was one of them. Why I think that the janitor was important too was because he turned into a ghost and took the file and put it on the F.B.I.'s desk before Jonah got in his office. I think that the meeting with Angela was a huge part of the important things because she told Chip, Jonah, and Katherine the story of the only thing that she witnessed thirteen years ago. Angela gave a lot of information from that story.

  32. I think the most important things to remember in these chapters are the files that Katherine took pictures, Jonah meeting the janitor, and Jonah and Chip being on the list of Survivors. The files are very important, because that will give them a lot of information about who they are and where they came from. Jonah meeting the Ghost Janitor is just as important, because I have a feeling that the Janitor will help them a lot in their journeys. Finally, Chip and Jonah being on the Survivors list is the most important because it opens a whole new window of possibilities of where they came from.

The events I think are important to remember for later are Mr Reardon, the file that was placed on the desk by the ghost. Also the maintenance person that got to Jonah in the bathroom. The maintenance person disappearing and reappearing without anyone seeing.

  34. The most important thing to remember for later in the story is the list of survivors and witnesses that they found in the file. It probably has something to do with the babies in the plane. I think Chip and Jonah are two of the babies from the plane. The fact that they were both adopted make me think that they are they are related to the babies.

According to the text, I think that there are a lot of events that are important to remember. On page 90, it says that there would be a folder on Mr. Reardon's desk and that he was to memorize all of the names on the paper. Even though we did not know who this person was, he did follow what he was told to do. I think that it also is important to remember how Mr. Reardon was trying to push them away in a sense. I think that it is also important to remember the numbers they collected from those papers.

Just from reading threw and the previous chapters this book is very interesting. One thing that really makes sense is why Jonah & Chip would want to know who there birth parent are. One thing that I just don't understand is why Mr. Reardon would invite them and tell them absolutely nothing. Another thing that I just don't understand is the ghost/ man. It appears in some of the chapters, but I think that the rest of the book will be interesting.

  38. From my reading I know that the most important things from these chapters are. Fristof all, that Mr.Reardon was being very secretive and not telling about the past of Joanh and he was talking about inigation services involved with Jonah. Second of all, Jonah's adoptin parents were very mad and upset with Mr.Reardon because he was being very rude and he was not being to socable. Third, when joanh whent to the bahroom to throw up and the one young janitor that Kathiren saw as well was gone and Kathirine and Joanh were suspicious. Finaly when Joanh and Kathirine teamed up to get some intel on the file Joanh was mad at Kahireine because he thougth she did not memorize any of the words on the list but she actuly got pictures of them and then they looked at them on the computer at Chips house and they saw the word surviors and Jonah Skidmore and Chip Winston.

The events that I feel are important for later on in the book are Angelina DuPre, the man in the bathroom, the ghost Katherine sees and the file that says that Jonah and Chip are two of the survivors. The reason I feel like Angelina DuPre is important is that in the prologue the story talks about her. I also fell that the man in the bathroom is important because he wanted Jonah to memorize the names in a file that James Reardon didn't want them to see. Katherine's ghost also seems a important because the ghost moved a file from a file cabinet with out anybody except Katherine. The last and most important event is the file that says the Jonah and Chip are two of the survivors.

  40. Some events that are most important to me that could be useful in the futer are,
1.) Gost that Angela sees. I think this because the guy could be a really important character in the book.
2.) Angela DePre. She was apart of this airplane job and she saw a bunch of babies and two of them could be Jonah and Chip.
3.) The file that has Jonah and Chips names on it. This file had a bunch of peoples names on it. They could be "one of the missing"
These 3 things could be really useful later in the book because it could help Jonah and Chip find there parents.

From my reading I know that the events that I feel are the most important are that Mr. Reardon didn't want to tell the Skidmore's anything about the adoption, that Katherine saw a ghost, the paper about Angela dePre, and the file with Jonah and Chip's names on it. I believe that the events in the book that were about Mr. Reardon not telling the Skidmore's anything will be very important later on in the book because this shows that Reardon was hiding something from the family and Jonah and Chip can figure it out later. I feel that the part were Katherine saw a ghost was important because this shows us that someone knows something about Jonah and Chip that the FBI doesn't want anybody to know. I also think that the files with Angela DePre and Jonah and Chips's names are going to be very important later on in the book because Angela was the person who saw all of the babies on the plane and maybe she has some answers for Jonah and Chip about the mysterious plane that they were found in. Lastly, I think that the paper with Jonah and Chips names was very important because it tells us that the FBI knows information about not only Jonah but they also have information about Chip.

I think one of the most important moments was when Jonah met the janitor. He would have never gotten the papers if he hadn’t met him.Another important part is when Kathrine sees the janitor disappear. Because of that we know later on in the book people might be able to disappear and appear.Lastly, the list of witnesses and survivors is really important because they may need the people on the lists to help them with the mystery.

Based on what I read, I know there were a couple of strange happenings in chapters 9-12. One of the strange parts in this book that might be important later on happened in chapter twelve when Chip, Jonah, and Katherine were downloading the pictures of the file onto Chips computer. This event was strange because it had Angela DuPre under witness and both Chip and Jonah under survivors. Another strange event that could be important in the future is Jonah seeing that janitor in the bathroom and Katherine seeing him appear in Mr. Reardons office and just vanishing away. Mr. Reardon also wouldn't tell the Skidmore's anything about Jonahs adoption like he is trying to hide something.

I believe that there are many events that will be important in the future, for example, the paper that Jhonas sister took pictures of had a section that was labeled survivors, and both Chip and Jhonas names were on there. I also think that the guy that Jhonas sister “thought” was a ghost, may be important in the future. I as well think that that fact that the “ghost” guy was asking Jhona to look in the folder is weird. In all, I think that the folder will be a very important part in the story.

Out of all of the strange things happening, the strangest thing that happened was when Katherine saw the "ghost." Katherine said "right before you came back this man... just appeared." It doesn't seem like the kind of thing an author would mention and then just end it. I think we will see more about this "ghost" later. Another odd thing was that Chip and Jonah were listed under "survivors" in some file with creepy info about witnesses and survivors. The survivor part may mean that some of the kids died or something similar. James Reardon seemed mad to see the folder. I think this is important to note because I don't really trust Reardon.

Some events that I should remember is the “ghost” appearing out of nowhere and putting the file on the desk. The survivor and witnesses list is very important because Jonah’s and Chip’s name was under it with lots of other names. Angela DuPre was listed on the witnesses list, Angela was one of the people who saw that plane appear out of nowhere and say thirty-six babies on the plane with no pilote. I also think that the janitor in the bathroom with Jonah might be important to remember too.

Some important things that I should remember is the survivor and witnesses list. Also when Katherine saw the "ghost". She said that "Right before you came back this man.. just appeared." When Jonah distracted Mr. Reardon with the airplane crash fiasco so Katherine could look through the files, so Chip could upload those pictures, it was intense.

  50. I believe that out of all of the events that happened in the last few chapters, there are three that really stand out. First of all, when James Reardon didn't say anything about Jonah's past. He could know some things that could lead Chip and Jonah to where they are really from. Another important event is when the janitor disappears and reappears. He was also the reason why Chip and Jonah have picture of the file. I think that this is important because the whole "ghost" thing could be a supernatural ability of The Missing. Finally, the list of witnesses and survivors is very important. This way, Jonah can find witnesses and learn more about his past.

    ReplyDelete
  51. From my reading, I know that out of the important things one of them is that Mr. Reardon is hiding something from Jonah. Also Jonah and his sister Katherine both saw what they think is a ghost. Also they got to take pictures of the files on Mr. Reardon desk. Another important thing is that after the meeting Jonah and Katherine went to chips house to take a better look at the pictures on chips computer. They also found out that on one of the pages that Katherine took had both Jonah and Chips names in the file

  52. In my opinion, think that the most important part of the book is during the meeting with Mr. Reardon. The reason why I think that is an important part of the book is because they discussed multiple things. And some of them could of occurred in Jonah or Chips life. But during the meeting Katherine and Jonah worked together to get to a file. Well while Jonah was distracting his parents and Mr. Reardon. At about the same time Katherine was taking pictures of the file. And it is very important for them t have these file photos. Because you need to remember that Chip and Jonah's names are on a list. And the is in one of the photos that Katherine took. And both names where under the word "Survivors." and also you need to remember the letters they have gotten.

Based on what I read in the last few chapters I think that some of the moments stand out more than others. One of the ones that stand out is when Mr. Reardon didn’t want to tell Skidmore’s about anything that had to do with the adoption. Another moment that stood out was when the ghost popped out of nowhere and started to put file on the desk. And the last event that happened was when Angela DuPre was under witness and Chip and Jonah under survivors.

There have been very many strange things happening in these four chapters, but the ones I think are the most important events are in chapters ten and twelve. For example, in chapter ten, it stated, “But the man kept going, around the corner of the stall toward the door out into the hallway. Jonah didn’t hear the door open and close, but when he peeked out, the man was gone.” This is strange to me because it was like the man time traveled out of the bathroom to another place. Also, in chapter twelve, Katherine stated, “I looked away from the hallway because I didn’t want to see anything gross. And then, right before you came back, this man just… appeared. He was right beside Mr. Reardon’s filing cabinet. He took out the file; put it on Mr. Reardon’s desk, and then he just… vanished.” This is also strange because the man in Mr. Reardon’s office time traveled like the man in the bathroom with Jonah. These are both pretty strange situations and, in my opinion, these are the most important for the future of the book.

Based on what I read, there are many crazy moments we need to remember. I think the moment when Jonah went into the bathroom and a guy told him to go and look on Mr. Reardon's desk for a folder and to remember every name possible, is important. We also need to remember the moment when they went to Chips house after the meeting and looked at the pictures on his computer. One of the pictures said "Witnesses" and below that it said "Angela DuPre" the other picture said "Survivors" and at the bottom of the list it said two very familiar names "Jonah Skidmore and Chip Winston." There were many important moments that happened in these chapters that are going to be important to the storyline of the book as the story goes on.

From what I read there are some odd moments in these chapters. One that I think is important to remember is when Jonah went in the bathroom and he heard someone come in after but never heard him leave and when he came out he was gone. Another moment to remember is when Mr. Reardon would not tell Jonah about the smuggling ring and how it brought Jonah into the United States. Also when Mr. Reardon would not tell him what country he came from is important to remember.

Based on all of the events that I read about I think that only some of them should be remembered for later on in the book. I think that the man in the bathroom, who could supposedly disappear like a ghost, should definitely be remembered. He might have something to do with why Jonah and Chip's names were in the file. I also think that James Reardon should be remembered because he was acting suspicious about the smuggling ring and if Jonah was actually from another country.According to chapter ten the man from the bathroom said that there would be a file on the desk after Jonah came back. The file should be remembered because it held information about Chip and Jonah.

The events I consider to be most important to remember out of these 4 chapters are that Mr. Reardon didn't want Jonah and his family to know about Jonah's past. The next important thing would be that Katherine thought she saw a ghost who happened to be the same person Jonah saw while he was in the bathroom throwing up. This ghost left a file on Mr. Reardon's desk and while in the bathroom told Jonah to look at the file and memorize all the names. Also, in the file they saw the first page was titled "Witnesses" but the second page was titled "Survivors". Jonah and Chip were the only two names on the survivors list. I'm curious as to what Chip and Jonah "survived" and what did all those witnesses witness?

I believe that their are 5 important events to remember later on in the book. My first event is how James Reardon really didn't want to give them the information and resorted to threatening them. My second event is the ghost that was in the bathroom with Jonah because he wouldn't have told Jonah to look in the file unless he had a reason and we'll most likely discover that reason later on in the book. My third event is the ghost Katherine saw. If it was the same ghost Jonah saw then I think it wanted Katherine to see it otherwise it could have taken out the folder when Katherine wasn't in the room or looking away from that spot. My fourth event is the name Angela DePre on the witness list. In the prologue Angela found a plane full of bodies. My fifth event is Chip and Jonah's names being on the survivors list.

In chapters 9,10,11, and 12 there were many strange moments that were important to remember. For example in chapter nine Mr. Reardon stated that Jonah could be from a different country. Also, it is strange that the FBI has something to do with Jonah’s adoption and that Mr Reardon won’t give Jonah and his family any information. An important fact to remember from chapter ten is that the janitor told Jonah to look through the files on Mr.Reardon's desk and to memorize as much information from the file. In chapter eleven and twelve it is important to remember that Chip and Jonah’s names were at a bottom of a list titled “Survivors”.

From my reading of chapter 9,10,11 and 12, I think there are 5 main event in all of these chapters that do take quite a big roll in future chapters. For example, one would be the whole situation that lead them to go to Mr. Reardon and the whole thing how he wouldn't tell them any of the government info that for some reason had to do with Jonah. This also goes with the second one where for some reason the government seems like it plays a big role and will throughout the book. Both 1 and 2 are in chapter 9. Event 3 is in chapter 10 where the whole thing with the janitor happend. How did the janitor know Jonah and why he was there? Event 4 and 5 are both really about the files and names Katherine got to take pictures of. The whole government thing and the list of survivors are very sketchy and may have a big roll in future chapters.

There are a couple of critical and important events. Some of them are for example when Mr. Reardon explains that they could file a lawsuit on Jonah's behalf. Jonah read the file on Mr. Reardon's desk without his permission and Mr. Reardon caught him. The file told how he turned the page and saw his birth parents and his country of origin, which was witnessed by Jonah and Chip.

According my reading there has been some strange things that have occurred in chapters 9-12 that could be very important later on in the book. There are three main things that stood out to me in these chapters. The first thing is that Mr. Reardon didn't tell the Skidmore's anything about the adoption. That means That he is hiding something from the Skidmore's. The second thing that is important is that Katherine saw a ghost in Mr. Reardon's office. I think this is important because the ghost might be able to help the kids later on. last the file that the kids found had Chip's, Jonah's, and Angela dePre's names on it. I think this is very important because this will give the kids more information to help them solve the mystery.

  64. From my reading I know that there were some strange happenings, some of the most noticeable are the ghost that put the file on the desk. There was also the strange writing in the file, like survivor and witness. It was also suspicious and mysterious how Mr. Reardon was acting when the file was on his desk. Macray O'Neill

  65. I think some of the strange happenings in the book have been when there was a ghost that appeared near the desk and handed the officer the documents. The writing on the files were mysterious because it showed a list of ''Survivors" and "Witnesses". I think this is really odd because later in the book, we can find out why there is a list of "witnesses" and Survivors". It's interesting how the officer acted around the files, as if he didn't want anyone to read them. In the future of this series, I hope we find out why that is there and the meaning of the issue.

There were some strange things that happened in the chapters 9,10,11,10. Some of the strange things that happened is first when a ghost (gray sweatshirt and jeans, short brown hair green eyes) whent to Readon's cabints and grabbed a file out and put it on his desk. Another strange thing that happened is that the same ghost met Jonah in the bathroom and told him to look in the file and mesmerize as any names as he could. These are only a few of the strange things that happened.

One of the main things that I found weird in these chapters was when the ghost janitor guy appeared and put the file on the desk. I think that he will become a big part of the story later on. Another strange thing that happened was when Chip and Jonahs names popped up on the computer under the "survivors" section. I think that is going to effect the story a lot. Those are a few of the weird things that I think will effect the story a lot later in the book.

In chapters 9,10,11,and 12 what I found weird was that when Jonah went to the bathroom he saw a janitor and the janitor told Jonah to read the file in James Reardon's office. Katherine told Jonah that she saw the janitor exit out of the bathroom, took a file and went in to James Reardon's office, however Jonah's parents didn't see the janitor at all. Another strange happening is that in the file Jonah and Chip's names where listed under "survivors". I think that there's a big mystery unraveled.

In chaaters 9, 10, 11, and 12 was that Mr.Reardon was trinng to get ride of Joanh's family. Onther thing that is strange is Joanh and Chip's file was named the survivors. One more thing that was wierd is that a goast gave the officer a file. the last thing that was weird was that Mr.Readron did not want to give them the files.

I believe that the most important event in the book is the survivors list, and the disappearing janitor. In The Missing Found, it say how out of nowhere a janitor showed up in the bathroom. The janitor told Jonah that there was going to be a file on James Reardon’s desk and then the janitor just left. There were no footsteps and Jonah and his mom didn’t see anyone enter or leave the bathroom. Later that day Katherine, thought she saw a janitor just appear out of thin air and with a blink of her eye she didn’t see anyone. Jonah and Katherine got some pictures of the file that was on James Reardon’s desk and they found a list that is titled Survivors. According to The Missing Found, the book states “ It’d been titled survivors. And the last two names on the list were very familiar: Jonah Skidmore Chip Winston” I think this is going to be very important for the later on in the book because the janitor could be related or he could be the one who put all of the baby’s on the plane. This would make sense because he is able to move from one place to another without anyone knowing.

One strange event that I think is important to remember is when Chip, Jonah, and Katherine found the file in Mr. Reardon's office. It is weird that the pictures they took show Chip and Jonah's names on a list that says survivors. I think this might have something to do with the plane full of babies at the airport in the beginning of the book. I also think it was strange that Katherine and Jonah thought they saw a ghost. I am wondering if they will see it again.

Some of the important plots of the story to remember are the pictures Katherine took of the papers that were in the file. What is important is what they saw and read on Chip's computer. Another important thing to remember is why the janitor appeared, put the file Mr. Reardon's desk then just vanished, then when Katherine looked in the file she found useful information. Evidence from the book: Pg. 98, the end of chapter 10 Katherine took a photo of the file and then on pg. 109 they looked onto Chip's computer and read what was on the photo. Another thing that is important is when Jonah’s family talked to Mr. Reardon in his office. When they saw the witness list and the survivors list and all the names all the names that they saw that might be another important thing to remember later on in the book. What was also important to remember is what the janitor said when Jonah was waiting with his parents to meet Mr. Reardon and also what the janitor said when Jonah was in the bathroom.

Some of the most important events to remember later in the book is the meeting with James Reardon because it was suspicious how James Reardon acted at the meeting. (It was on page 78 -87.) Another event to remember in the book is when Jonah ran to the bathroom and threw up. Behind Jonah was a janitor, but it wasn’t the same janitor that gave him the mountain before the meeting, he was younger. The janitor in the bathroom said “When you go back to Mr. Reardon office find a way to look through the files and try remembering all the names in the file. Then the janitor disappears. Jonah’s mom was outside the door for the entire time and nobody pass her on the way to Mr. Reardon office. The next one was that Jonah came back into the office and Katherine face was deathly pale, her eyes were as huge and round, like she was terrified out of her wits. It started when Katherine looked away from the hallway because she didn’t want to see anything gross. And then, right before Jonah came back, this man just appeared. He was right beside Mr. Reardon’s filing cabinet. He took out the file; put it on Mr. Reardon’s desk and he just… vanished. (How Katherine had explained the story.) Another event to remember on in the story is the picture that Katherine took of the paper in the file while Jonah distracts Mr. Reardon.

A couple of the most important events throughout the chapters 9-12 was when Kathrine Jonah's sister saw A ghost in Mr.Readon's office set the file papers on Mr.Readon's desk then vanished. Another interesting fact about these chapters was when the ghost appeared in the bathroom with Jonah and demanded Jonah to find out all the names that were in the file. I feel like Mr.Readon is hiding something and Jonah himself has to find in the next few chapters. I can also predict that Chip and Jonah have to do part in with the babies in the air plan in the begging of the book.

In chapters 9-12, I think the most important thing to remember is the segment when the janitor was talking to Jonah. He told him when he went back to Mr. Readon's office to find a way to look at the files and remember the names. Honestly, I wasn't to worried about the files, but the janitor. He turns out to be something of a ghost. The reason I know this is because Jonah's mom was standing outside the bathroom the whole time, and no one had passed her. Maybe this janitor had something to do with the airplane with all the babies mentioned at the beginning of the book.

There have been a lot of strange happenings going on in this book and especially in these chapters and some of these strange happenings are most likely very important to this fascinating story. In chapter nine there the important events that I think are important to remember on in the book would be when Mr. Reardon gave a hypothetical about an international baby smuggling ring. To support my explanation according to the text The Missing Found, "let me give you a hypothetical," Mr. Reardon said. "let's say there was an international baby smuggling ring. Lots of poor people in developing countries have babies they can't afford; Lots of rich Americans want babies they can't have. People get desperate, don't they?" Jonah saw his mother flinch. Mr. Reardon went on. " It's a bad mix, desperate rich people who want something that desperate poor people have. Laws are broken; rights are trampled; money changes hands illegally-" I think this is important because the "hypothetical" explains some of Jonah's past. Another important detail to remember for later on in the book would be when Jonah met the man in the bathroom after vomiting because of the information he has given him in the folders and when Katherine saw him and thought he was a ghost. To support my explanation according to the text The Missing Found, " The man caught Jonah's glance. " it's not like that!" The man said, Holding his hands innocently " I just wanted to tell you something. " "What?" Jonah said, cautiously. Maybe he could swing the stall door open into the mans face, maybe he could jump up on the toilet and hang on the stalls walls to get leverage to kick, maybe - " When you go back to Mr. Reardon's office, " the man said, quickly, like he thought he might run out of time, " find a way to look in the file of papers on his desk. Memorize all the names you can. " This is important because when Katherine took a picture they found names under a list labeled suspects. There are many different important moments in these chapters to remember in this book but these two, in my opinion, are some of the most important ones.

I think that the most important thing to remember later on in the book is the file. I think this because the information on the page might be important later on. It might lead them to chip or Jonah's dad. It is probably very important, or the guy in the bathroom wouldn't ask him to look at it. It was smart to have Kathrine help him and it was smart of Katherine to take pictures. They were pretty smart, both of them. jonah's distraction was pretty good, and it worked

  79. I think that some of the most important moments that happened in the book so far, are randomly receiving Moutain Dew, and then puking and seeing the janitor in the bathroom that tells him “sorry about that it wasn't supposed to make you sick. We've had to do way too much planning on the fly we just thought, twenty ounces of Mountain Dew, at some point you’d have to leave that office and go to the bathroom. So we could get you alone. Then a little while later he says that Jonah needs to look at the file on the desk. Another moment I think is important is when Jonah distracts the adults Katherine get pictures of the contents of the files.
