Chapters 13 & 14

Stop for a minute.  Process the crazy details so far!  Determine what makes sense to you and what doesn't. Write about it.

  1. All that has happened in the book has been super crazy!!! The things that don't make sense to me are why the people that Katherine called got all worried when they talked about weird things and adoption. So far, not a lot has made sense. I don't know why Jonah's father would be on the FBI website, and how the person in Jonah's room could just disappear, and how the "ghost" could do the same. Maybe it is just crazy tech, but it is creeping me out. I think that it also could have been the parents snooping around in Jonah's room, and then lying about doing it. They were probably searching for something about Jonah's birth parents and what not. They could have even seen the letters that Jonah and Chip got in the mail. It all is so crazy, and I don't understand why Jonah doesn't want to learn more about himself. It is like he goes back and forth. The only thing that I think I understand is why James Reardon didn't tell anybody the information about Jonah. If it is his job to keep quiet, then he will keep quiet if he wants to keep his job. All in all, Jonah has a crazy life and it has been hard for me to understand why all these things are happening.

In this scene I would have so many things rushing through my brain at ounce! I would barely be able to focus on any one or anything around me. I would have over one hundred questions about the FBI and where I'm really from. I would do my best to focus on the task at hand.

  2. Most of the things that have happened so far in this book were super crazy!!! Not a lot of things in this book didn't. Most of them were just super crazy but they made sense to me. But one thing that didn't make sense at all was why they were on the survivor list. It also didn't make sense why the parents of chip wouldn't tell him that he was adopted till he was in seventh grade. These are the only things that didn't make sense.

  3. There are many crazy moments in this book, especially in these chapters. Most things made sense because this book from what I have read, is based off of reality, but fiction at the same time. This, I think is why in some parts of the story I was very confused. I don't yet understand why the people on the phone that, Katherine and Chip called, started freaking out. It was like they were scared of something. Or why Chip and Jonah's names were on a FBI document. Also the "ghost" is very off to me. I feel like this "ghost" is a VERY important part of this book. But for now we don't know anything about this "ghost". We barely know anything about what is happening around Jonah, and Chip.

So far in this section of the book things have been pretty crazy. Chip and Katherine are on a mission to figure out the file that was on James Reardon's desk, while Jonah wants to go back to the way they were. Where they didn't have to worry about adoption mystery's, and they could just worry if he was going to be on the basketball team. Some moments that don't make a lot of sense are when a ghost appears in Jonahs room and on the way back from Chips house when Katherine admits that she cares for Jonah. I think that these moments are weird because there is a ghost in Jonah's room that is looking through Jonah's letters. This ghost could possibly be the same ghost that Katherine and Jonah saw early at the FBI office. Katherine was being kind and worried about Jonah, but Katherine is usually trying to play pranks on Jonah. We may not know much about the ghost yet but I assume that the ghost was an FBI agent and was assigned to take care and guard the babies on the plane from the smugglers.

From my reading I know that on the first page of chapter thirteen it says Jonah stepped away from the computer and it all added up. And in chapter fourteen it says Jonah burst through the front door. and his parents where snooping around his room

So far in this book everything has been super crazy!! For example when Chip and Jonah's names were on the survivors list. Also when Chip and Katharine called witnesses. Then when Jonah thought he saw a intruder. These chapters have been the craziest.

    2. There has been a lot of crazy details that don't make sense. Why is there a lady at the beginning. She has nothing to do with the book so far. She didn't know Jonah's parents. She just saw a spooky plane.

  7. There has been a lot of crazy details and things that don't make sense. I think it is crazy that a lady and a man freaked out when chip tried to talk to them about 13 years ago. I still think that the ghost is weird and I think he strikes again in Jonah's room I also don't think it makes sense that the kids aren't involving their parents in the mystery.

  8. Brandon Calkins,

It make since that when a shadow was in the room. Why it make since is because I think its a ghost in Jonah's room. If you think about it, a ghost makes a shadow right? But the parents said that nobody was in Jonah's room. If you put it together it would be a ghost shadow. What doesn't make since is that why is Jonah on the survivor list? How did he even get on that list? The thing is, is that Jonah didn't know that happened and what does it mean?

One of the things that makes sense to me at this point, is Chip being so upset about being adopted and his parents not telling him at an earlier age. Something that didn’t make sense before, were the letters that Chip and Jonah got in the mail. The letters were very mysterious and didn’t give much clue on where they came from. Now stranger things are happening, like the man that walked out the bathroom that Jonah was talking to, but his mom didn’t see a man anywhere. Is he a ghost? Another thing I’m wondering about is the documents Mr. Reardon had. Chip and Jonah’s names were on a page in the folder but they don’t know why. I’m getting more and more curious about what’s going to happen.

After reading through all of these crazy things that have happened so far, I have understood most of them. Though there were many things that I am still trying to understand. Some of the things that I have understood so far is when they had all started to get further into the mystery. They had started to uncover more information like the names of the witnesses and the survivors. The only things that I don't understand and that I have questions about is when Jonah saw the mysterious figure. I think that it might be a spy for the FBI but my question is who was it in Jonah's room and why were they in there? Another thing that I am questioning is why Jonah didn't want to go further into the mystery. If I were Jonah, I would probably want to keep going until I would've figured out everything. I also question why the FBI is not to tell anyone anything about Jonah's and Chip's adoptions. I would like to learn why this man, James Reardon didn't want to tell Jonah's family anything about his adoption. Why are these people trying to keep it a secret? I also have a prediction. I think that the witnesses were told not to tell anyone about the plane and how just maybe, Jonah, Chip, and all of the other survivors might have been on it. I don't know why they would've been told to keep it a secret. I would think that this would be on the news for days at a time. I do think that Jonah and Chip were both on the plane along with the other survivors.

What Doesn't make sense to me is that they both saw a ghost. Also that Chip and Jonah got those weird letters. I wonder why they got the letters in the first place. I also wonder why Mr.Reardon was acting so weird. Also why did the file say they were survivors?

Some things in the book so far really don't make sense to me. For example, Jonah was sure that he had seen an intruder in his bedroom through the window. Yet when he went upstairs, nobody was there, but his letter was unfolded and in another place from where he had left it. From my reading, I also know that Katherine figured out that Mr. Reardon wasn't going to tell them anything all any way, he just wanted to know what they already knew. But what could Jonah's parents already have known?
I'm also wondering how that man/ghost Katherine saw could just "appear" and then just "disappear" as Katherine described it. Other than those things, I don't think anything else is weird or odd in the book so far.

The last few chapters have been all over the place. Most of it I understand, the one thing that completely baffled me was why Jonah left, he had the opportunity to know the things that Mr.Reardon wouldn't tell him. Another thing I don't understand why the Air Traffic Controller started to not want to talk, after he was more than happy to talk before Chip asked him the question. Angela DuPre on the other hand had every right to freak out. My guess is that she thinks Chip is from the airplane that randomly appeared.

From reading chapters 13, and 14 I know that a lot of crazy things had happened. What first happened was the ghost in the office, then it was the papers with witnesses and survivors, and finally, Jonah thought he saw someone in this room at first then he thought it was his parents but when he got home his mom was in the kitchen and his Dad was working in the living room so he went straight up to his room and no one was there. This makes no sense to me in less it was the ghost. What also doesn't make sense to me is the papers that they got picnics of with the two words on it witnesses, and survivors. What was crazier is that Jonah didn’t want to know anything about the what was on the papers Why?

    ReplyDelete
  15. In chapter 13, and 14 it doesn't make sense why Jonah wanted Chip to close the computer down, because this is what they were looking for. They wanted to know about themselves. I also think that all the people hanging up and acting scared didn't make sense. I also think how Angela DuPre was being normal until Chip started talking about his adoption and how he didn't know about his birth parents, doesn't make sense, because then she totally freaked out. I just don't think any of this makes sense.

Do think that it is weird that Katherine wants to know about Chip and Jonah's adoption too? I think Katherine? I thought Katherine did not like Jonah that much. I think she is going to tell adults what they have been doing and they will get in trouble. I hope Chip and Jonah get all the answers they want.

      Delete
    2. Well Lucas, Katherine is Jonah's sister, so I don't think she's going to tell an adult about what's going on because she honestly wants to help them.

  16. I think that everything in the book so far doesn't make scene to me like the "figure" in Jonah'a room easing the door shut and then the penlight on hovering over his desk. Also using the computer screen for the picture that Kathrine took of the paper on the desk because if I were in this book I would say "But using the computer it's just way too time consuming". Then the note that says "YOU ARE ONE OF THE MISSING". The only thing that makes sense to me is at the very end of chapter eight where it says "Tell him to keep his information to himself.

  17. I think that most stuff in the book is confusing. The letters do not make any sense because we do not know what happened to the boys. I also do not understand why nobody wants to give answers to Chip and Jonah. The only thing that I do understand is why Chip and Jonah want answers. The thing that I do not understand the most is why Katherine wants answers too.

So far this book has been pretty crazy! In this book there have been a lot of mysteries! And a lot of things have been confusing me, like if James actually knows who Jonah is, or if he's just trying to get information out of Jonah's family I am also wondering if James knows it was Jonah that called James. Another mystery is if Jonah is going to tell his mom and dad about the letters he has been receiving. I know I would. There are still a lot more mysteries, for example, if Jonah is going to be kidnapped or not, or if there was really someone in Jonah's room. But the really big mystery to me is if Chip and Jonah will find their birth parents or if Jonah and Chip will get another letter. I really don't understand why Katherine wants to get involed in all of this. I don't think it's because she's part of the family too like she's saying. There is not a lot that makes sense to me, but there is one detail that makes sense to me and thats I think there is someone helping Jonah not get kidnapped.

From my reading, I know that this book has been really crazy, and there are many details to process. Most of the details in the book made sense to me. However there were a few details that confused me. For example, on Jonah's way back home from Chip's house he saw someone in his room. Jonah thought it was his mom or dad searching through his stuff. But I think that who ever was in his room was a spy from Mr.Reardon. Another is how the files magically appeared onto Mr.Reardon's desk. One thing that got me thinking was why Katherine was helping them. Something that made sense to me about this book was the fact it's kinda based on reality. I think this because if you were adopted you would want to know who your birth parents were.

In this book a lot of things make sense and a lot of thing do not. Something that do make sense is that Jonah and Chip got the same letters. I think that this makes sense because they are both adopted. What doesn't make sense to me is that Kathrine saw a ghost. I am wondering why a ghost would be in this book. It seems like some random thing in the book. Also something that did not make sense to me is why Jonah saw something in his room from outside.

So far everything makes sense. I think the “Man” in Jonah’s room is the Janitor. In my response for chapters 9-12, I talked about how I thought the Janitor guy has to do with Jonah’s adoption. I think the “Man” is looking for the letters to make sure he got them. I also think that the Janitor guy might also have something to do with Chip’s adoption. So far the book is very interesting.

  23. To me the book makes sence. There are a lot of CRAZY things that had happened. The only thing that dosn't make sence is why didn't they let chip know he was adopted when he was a little kid.Or at least not when he is 13.

So far, the book is interesting, but there are a few things that I don't understand. First, I think that the survivors list is for the people that survived in the prologue when the plane disappeared, and that they are the only deported kids that survived it. What I don't understand is why the FBI wanted the parents to come in when there was nothing to tell them. I think what Katherine said might have been true, but I think there might be another reason he wanted them to come in. Next, I think that the person that was in Jonah's room was the ghost from at the FBI office. I think that it followed him from there, and was trying to write another letter to Jonah and chip. Finally, the last thing that I don't understand is why the ghost is why the ghost followed Jonah. I think what the reason might be is that he is trying to follow them and warn them about bad things that might happen, like people trying to come and get them, or telling them what might happen next.

The craziest things that have happened so far are, Chip and Jonah called people on the survivor list. They also called Angela DuPre. Angela DuPre did not like getting called. I think calling random people is not the best way to go about finding someone. I Think this story is crazy!

From my reading I know, that the craziest thing so far is that Chip and Jonah are on the survivor list. I think that the survivor list means survived out of the adoptions at one time. What I think makes sense so far is that someone really was in Jonah's room while he was outside. I think this because he would have been able to see in their clear as day light. Also, this book is so ridiculous that the reader is basically forced to believe anything and everything that is written. Just because of what has gone on before in the book, this would seem like the norm. Finally, I think that someone really was in Jonah's room because, he ran into his room thinking that it was his Mom or Dad but when they weren't their that's when they got a little suspicious.

mostly everything in the book has been really crazy like how Chip and Jonah got weird letters from someone that they have no clue who they are and how people got nervous and scared when Chip and Katherine called them. Also I think that it was weird that Jonah saw someone in his room on the way home from Chips house. The thing that has made the most sense so far was the meeting about Jonah with the F.B.I.

    ReplyDelete
  29. The most craziest thing so far in this book, is that Jonah and Chip are on the Survivors list. But what most intrigues me is the man Jonah saw while walking back home. I have a feeling that it might be the Janitor, who helped get Jonah see the files and get new information.

So far the things that make sense are Jonah's parents are starting to do their own research and becoming supportive. The kids are doing their own research also. There is still a lot of things that does not make sense. We do know about the survivors and witness list, the FBI's involvement, the ghosts that keep disappearing and reappearing.

  31. There are so many crazy things happening right now. It's mind-blowing! It's cool to discover little by little the pieces of the puzzle that help me understand where Jonah came from. Just from reading these and the previous chapters this book is very interesting. One thing that really makes sense is why Jonah & Chip would want to know who their birth parents are. One thing that I just don't understand is why Mr. Reardon would invite them and tell them absolutely nothing. Another thing I just don't understand is the ghost/man. It only appears in some of the chapters. I think that the rest of the book will be interesting.

  34. everything that has happened in he book so far is that we met all the characters so far and we read about the notes. We figured out that Chip is adopted and he wad very mad about it. We have read that Jonah and Chip looked for names in Chip's dad's safe and they found a posit note that said Frank Reardon and a phone number. We have also read that Jonah wanted awncers and Frank Reardon wanted to see Jonah and his family. We learned that Mr. Reardon didn't want to give them awncers and Reardon said that Jonah could get DEPORTED. Jonah had to have his sister take pictures of some files that Reardon didn't want them seeing And when she got them they saw Chip and Jonah's real names.

From my reading, I know that I have learned oodles of details about Jonah and Chips crazy FBI adoption. So far, I make sense of Jonah and Chip are adopted, we learn about their adoption, they are receiving strange yet scary letters, Jonah went to Mr. Reardon's office where his family and he tried to get more information about his adoption but failed, and I know that Katherine took pictures of the files on the desk. The files portrayed clues about Jonahs adaption. However I don't get how Katherine saw a ghost, I don't know how Jonah could have seen someone in his room, and I don't get how Katherine could have seen a ghost.

  37. the book has details scattered around that you really have to think about for a while for them to make sense and it really seems like the book is doing that to put us in suspense as it ties together the plot so things will make sense but so far we know very few things to have it make sense

    Chapter 13,14
Throughout this book there has been many things that make sense and, many things that don’t. For example, the part in the book when Jonah's sister saw the “ghost” doesn’t make any sense to me. Neither does the part where Jonah sees the person in his room. I think that everything that is happening with the FBI and the adoption agency will all connect to the proleague, when Angela DuPre saw all the babies in the plane. I believe that Jonah and Chip were survivors on that plane.

In the last couple events there has been things that make sense and some that don’t at all. Like when Katherine saw a man appear and then disappear. When Jonah saw the guy in his room and not be there when Jonah checked. When Katherine and Chip called the witnesses and asked them about what they witnessed they all freaked out and hung up. And when they called the survivors about being adopted and they also freaked out.

All sorts of crazy things have been happening in the book. It doesn't make sense that Katherine saw a "ghost" or that Jonah had seen someone in his room. I don't know how someone could just appear and disappear unless they had super powers. Chip and Jonah getting all of those letter is weird and creepy. How does the sender know were Chip and Jonah live? Its also a bit off that James Reardon had invited Jonah and his family over even though he could not give them any info. Maybe Kathrine was right; James Reardon was just trying to get some more info that the FBI didn't all ready have. I don't really get anything right know because way to much is going on.

The absolutely crazy details so far are Jonah being given a mountain dew that actually makes sick and he goes to the bathroom where a man is waiting for him. The man tells Jonah to memorize all the papers on the FBI's desk. That makes sense then I feel like the man in Jonah's room is the same guy, and the other crazy thing is Kathrine's ghost. I think that all of these things are crazy and connected.

  43. After reading all of these chapters, I can see how crazy the events in this book are! The whole "ghost" does NOT make sense to me. Why is he there? Is he dead...or is that just some sort of magic? Also, who was the person in Jonah's room? Was he a good guy or a bad guy? However, the FBI part is kind of making sense to me. It seems to be connecting to the prologue. The survivors, Angela DuPre, and ALL of the witnesses. I can't wait to keep reading to find all this tying together!

Throughout this book so far there has been a bunch of crazy things. The thing that makes sense to me so far is why Chip and Jonah are adopted. From the first chapter, there have been many strange things happening; some I can explain and others I can’t. One thing I can explain is why Mr. Reardon didn’t tell Jonah and his family anything about his adoption. He didn’t tell Jonah and his family about his adoption because Mr. Reardon didn’t want to give out any secrets that the F.B.I. knew about Jonah and Chip’s adoption. One thing I can’t explain is why Mr. Reardon had the file that had both Jonah and Chip’s name on it. Another thing I can’t explain is who’s sending Chip and Jonah the creepy mysterious letters. Also, how people have been able to appear and disappear. Lastly, why someone was in Jonah’s room looking through his stuff on his desk.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Their are some things that don't make sense to me. Like who is the ghost and is it event a ghost. Also what was Mr. Reardon hiding was so important that he didn't want to tell Jonah. Who was the someone or somethin doing in Jonah's room and why was it reading Jonah's letters and could it be ghost or maybe it could be Mr. Reardon trying to find more about Jonah. But one thing I do understand is that even though they're his adoptive parents their still doing everything they can to find his birth parents and known more about his past.

Who is the janitor/ghost and how does he disappear? I’m wondering if he is from a different world or something? What does the survivors list mean? Were they the babies in the plane? Did they survive the “ plane crash”. Does the FBI know who Jonah and Chip are, and where they're from? Who is the person in Jonah’s room? Is he the Janitor/ghost? I am pretty sure the janitor/ghost is trying to help Jonah. So far the book is pretty confusing and mysterious, but I love it.

What I thought was crazy is how Mr Reardon didn't give them any details on the adoption. Or how Jonah thought there was someone in his room. To me, that doesn't make sense because his parents didn't hear anybody in the house and when Jonah got to his room, nothing was disturbed. What also doesn't make sense is that Mr. Reardon agreed to meet with Jonah's family when he was not willing share any information about the adoption. What makes sense is how Jonah is confused about Mr. Reardon not telling his family any information.

From the first chapter there has been many strange moments, some that are very difficult to explain. What make sense to me is that they went to Mr. Reardon's office to find some information but he didn't tell them any of the details about the adoption. What is crazy is how did the folder get on Mr. Reardon's desk and how Chip's and Jonah's name are on the survivors list? I wonder if someone was really in Jonah's house that night. Maybe it was just his mind thinking crazy things or something, but if there was someone his mom and dad probably would have seen the intruder.

Based on all of the crazy details I know that some of them make no sense whatsoever. One of these details is how the intruder was able to leave the room unnoticed. Unless it was a real ghost there is no way it could leave so quiet. A second detail that makes sense is why Jonah didn't want to be apart of the mystery. This makes sense because he just wants to have a normal life. If I was Jonah I would want to be apart of the mystery because I love solving puzzles. According to chapter 14 Jonah was thinking about telling his parents that he got two weird letters, but finally he decided not to. This detail makes sense because Jonah's parents are already stressed because of the meeting with Mr. Rearson. So, Jonah does not want to make them even more confused and worried about his own adoption.

I meant Mr. Reardon not Rearson.

  51. Based on my reading of chapters 13-14 some details of the book that made sense was. In chapter thirteen because Katherine helped Chip and Jonah to figure out the mystery of the file's list. The mysteries white light hovering above Jonah's desk. Maybe it was Katherine's ghost from the meeting. It doesn't make sense to me that when Chip and Katherine where calling people on the file's lists. And that a man that worked at an air traffic controller and a women named Angela DuPre. Both hung up the phone and made up an excuse to end the conversation when Chip and Katherine brought up something about witnessing something about thirteen years ago. And In chapter fourteen after the white light was hovering over the desk. Jonah went up stairs and he saw the letter he had gotten before. And it makes sense to me that he doesn't tell his parent about the mysterious letters that might be life threatening. Because they are already stressed out because of the meeting with Mr. Reardon.

The thing that makes the most sense to me is Angela DePre's name on the witness list. This makes sense because in the Prologue Angela witnessed the plane landing with the babies. Another thing that makes sense to me is Jonah and Chip's names on the survivor's list. I believe Chip and Jonah are two of the babies that Angela found on the plane. Something that does not make sense are the letters. Who would send them? Why send the letters when you could just go and talk to them and explain everything that is going on? One more thing that doesn't make sense to me is the ghost and how he said, "We've had to do way too much planning on the fly here" the ghost said "we". This makes me believe that he's with other people and that doesn't make sense to me because we know barely anything about the ghost at this point.

What doesn't make sense to me is when Jonah got a letter saying,"You are one of the missing." I mean, suddenly, someone just got a creepy letter and they don't know who its from? I wish Jonah found out sooner who it was from. What also doesn't make sense was when Katherine saw a "ghost" in Mr. Reardons office. I mean apparently the ghost was the guy that Jonah saw in the bathroom. But, besides those two things almost everything makes sense.

In chapters thirteen and fourteen there were many things that made sense and some that didn’t. In chapter thirteen, it makes sense for Katherine to think that Mr. Reardon met with Jonah and his family to find out what they already know. One thing that made sense in chapter fourteen is that Katherine would think that Angela Dupre could be Chip or Jonah's mom. What doesn't make sense to me is that Jonah saw a figure of a person in his room. Also, Chip and Jonah's names were at a bottom of a list titled “Survivors”. The thing that I felt was the strange, is that when Chip and Katherine made all those phones calls to the people on the list no one wanted to talk.

The main thing from what I have read so far that doesn't make sense is how he say someone in his room but when he gets there, no one was there. Really, how is this even logical. The survivors list is also very suspicious, what does it mean by, "Survivors" ? The things that do make sense is how stressful it is for both Chip and Jonah, but it does seem at this point Jonah is really taking a toll on what is happening. It also doesn't make sense though how Chip isn't as skiddish as Jonah is about the conscept of the whole deal with Mr. Reardon and the survivors list.

A lot of crazy things have happened so far in the book. One of the crazy things that does not make sense is that it says on the document that the document was witnessed by Jonah and Chip when they had never even seen the document before. They also got these random letters that said "you are one of the missing" and the other one warned them about the people coming to kidnap them. Something that does make sense is that they know something is wrong and they are trying to find out who they are.

  57. From my reading the one thing that doesn't make sence is how Jonha was on his way home from chip's house, then saw a shawdow in his room and when he got up there, no one was in his room. He asked his parents if they were in there but they said that they were just in the kitchen the whole time he was gone. Also, Chip and Johna are "Survivors". They both dont know what that means. Something that does make sence is why Mr. Readon isn't telling anyone about Jonha. He is an FBI worker. He wants to keep is job and one of the maine parts about that job is keeping secrets, so he cant just go aroud telling everyone because then he wont get the information that he needs.

  58. Based on what I read, so far everything has been crazy. First there's a ghost dropping a file on Readon's desk and told Johna to rember as many names as he could. Then In that file Jonah and chip is in a list titled survivors. Another thing that makes no sense is why Readon's won't tell Jonah's family (or anyone) about Jonah. One more thing is that Chip and Jonah keep getting weired letters. These are some of the things that make no sense to me.

Something that I didn't understand was the reason why the man was in Jonah's room. Something else that doesn't make sense is that Jonah and Chip were on a list of Survivors, and there still isn't an answer to why. Something else was that the files on the officer's desk were very secret, and that he clearly didn't want them seeing it. The ghost that was at the office, I suppose was the same ghost in Jonah's room.

In chapters 13 and 14 the thing that I don't understand is that whey did Mr.Readron what them to be dead. The files on the office desk where very secret it looked like. One other thing that I don't understand is the mystery fuigere. The last thing that I don't understand is that the goast left the files on the desk.

The crazy details that happened in the book so far were the plane that disappeared, the strange letters, Katherine thinking that she saw a ghost, Jonah and Chip's names under survivors in the file, Jonah saw someone in his room, but when he ran up there there was no one to be seen. All of these details that I mentioned don't make sense. I am looking forward to reading more chapters.

There are a lot of things in the book that are confusing, and some things that make completely no sense at all. I think that this book is made to keep you guessing, therefore some things can be confusing. I think that the more I get into the book the more things will start to make sense. I think that the way the book was written makes me always guessing what is going to happen next and it is very unpredictable.

There is a lot of details that make sense to me and a lot of details that doesn't. I really had think about this. One of the details that makes sense to me is the reason James Reardon not telling Jonah's’ family anything. It makes sense because that is his job and they won’t allow him to tell anything. What doesn't make sense is why the janitor put the file on the desk. Is there a reason he wanted them to know the witnesses and the survivors. Is there a secret he is hiding, or is there a message that he is trying to say but he doesn't know how too. Also the letters don’t make any sense. Who is going to come get them. Who is sending the letters; who is writing the letters, it can’t just be a seventh grade prank, pranks usually don’t go that far.

There is a lot of crazy parts through out the whole book, but most of things that made sense to me was how Chip was freaking out when his parents told him that he was adopted when he was thirteen instead of telling him when he was younger. Also what made sense to me was when they took Jonah and Katherine's phone to Chip's computer to get more details about the files in Mr. Reardon's office. What didn't make sense to me was when Jonah was freaking out about when he got too many details about the pictures of the papers in the files. Lastly what didn't make sense to me was when Mr. Reardon called Jonah's family in and didn't tell them any information.

  66. What I thought was crazy is how Mr Reardon didn't give them any details on the adoption. Or how Jonah thought there was someone in his room and at first Jonah thought it was his mom or dad searching through his stuff. Going back to my first point why would Mr Reardon call in jonah's family and wast time in his day to tell them nothing. What makes the most sense to me is how mad and sad chip was when he found out that he was adopted

What mostly makes sense to me is when Jonah talked to his parents when he thought they were snooping around in his room like they were looking for something that belonged to him. Another thing that also made sense is when Katherine said if you be quiet enough you will notice a lot more thing than when you are talking. What doesn't really make sense to me is when James Reardon said yes to the meeting in his office but didn't give much or any useful information about the adoptions or about Jonah as if he didn’t know anything about Jonah or his family, like Katherine said. Another thing that I don't really understand is when Katherine stayed to make more phone calls instead of going home with Jonah when he was leaving Chip's house (she was probably curious). I don't know why Chip and Jonah's names were on the survivors list or on any list and why when Chip and Katherine called every single person that were in the file they said they couldn't talk to them or about any clues that might help, and then hung up quickly.

Not everything in the book make sense, but the thing that makes sense is that when Katharine said that James Reardon just trying to make Jonah’s parents mad because when people are mad sometimes they say something they don’t mean to. (They reveal too much.) Also, when Jonah walked home alone and the living room light blazed…. home looked like such a safe place. And Jonah wanted to walk in and crawl into bed, pull the cover over his face, and sleep until all the scary things in his life disappeared. Jonah glances up at the second -story window that looked in his room. The light wasn’t on in his room, but the light was on in the hallway. One shape in his room moved. Jonah watch the dark shape, a person closed the door of Jonah’s room shut, blocking out the light. But there was a smaller light (A penlight.) Click on and hovering over Jonah’s desk. Then Jonah took off running.

From my reading, so far the book has been CRAZY! It doesn't make much sense. I feel like you have to keep guessing and guessing each chapter. Continuing on, it devastated me when Mr.Readon didn't share any info about Chip and Jonah's adoption. To me this book is like a mystery. Because you don't know anything about what's going to happen next and it's telling you to keep reading to find out the clues.

One thing that does not make sense to me is that if the FBI called the parents in to know what they know and t make sure that they don't know anything top secret but if that was true then why would Mr. Reardon give a highly detailed "hypothetical" to the parents. If they were trying to figure out what the parents know Mr. Reardon should not have given any information but he could have felt sympathetic about the adoption and tell them and break the rules but in my opinion it is hard to believe a trained FBI agent would break the rules from being sympathetic also the details with his attitude and the way he was acting it does not sound like he would be sympathetic or even nice. Something that does make sense is why the air craft trafficker and Angela DuPre got freaked out by the calls they made. This makes sense because Angela DuPre went to the plane and saw all the babies in the prologue. In this book, there are many different parts that I do and do not get in this book which make this very interesting.

There have been a lot of events over the past few chapters. Some of the more important ones are Jonah not wanting to know what Chip and Kathrine found. Jonah seeing someone in his room and deciding not to tell anyone. Jonah noticing that his letter had been disturbed. The air traffic controller hanging up on them after they asked him what he had witnessed.

In the book there is a lot of crazy details. There is the people in his room and in the office that disappear, there is the airport person hanging up on then when they call. There is Jonah's letter being messed with, and there is a lot of other crazy stuff that I don't get, like where the file came from and who gave it to them. It is a little weird that James Reardon didn't give them very many details about the adoptions

So far, I find this book to be quite off the wall. For example, there is this janitor who is like a ghost who keeps disappearing and reappearing throughout the book. He likes to drop little hints about Chip and Jonah's origin. What scared me the most was when the ghost showed up in Jonah's room and he decided to not say anything. I know he's trying to help Jonah and Chip, but that's just a bit creepy.
