Merchants and others who ran businesses began to see a boom in the economy. Even women and children began to experience more rights. Philosophy and art were also becoming more well known, such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. Things like this brought change in the 15th Century, but some people did fight for it. They used axes while fighting on foot, and swords too. Some things I think the four kids should be prepared for is any possible fighting, maybe getting sucked into working on a farm which is hard, harsh, and physical. They should be prepared to eat food they might not like, and maybe lots of potatoes. The clothing was very different back then, and I think probably pretty uncomfortable. There won't be doctors like we have today, and their entertainment might only be singing and dancing. If they have these things in mind, then maybe, MAYBE, they won't perish.

Territory is more fought for in these times and they also don't know as much as we do now. In these times they barely had medical supplies. So 15 year olds would get married. Because in the 15th century you have a shorter life expectancy. They will have to be prepared for more advanced english. They didn't use some words that we use now. They would have to talk more advanced to talk properly to people. This is why I would rather go to the future.

Johnanthony hallberg from my internet reading I know that there going to have to prepare for a lot of things that they are used to having or getting like the food there will be no more pizza or hamburgers now they will have to eat bread broth, various meats, puddings, french figs, apple sauce and more. You will also will have no electricity which means when its dark its time to go to bed when your bored you can not use any electronics but you can play outside.And there is no pluming which means you must dig a hole and bury it to go to the bathroom.and most likely you will be in poverty because the kings and queens will take all your money in tax. If anyone sees them talking about or doing 21st century things, they will be accused of doing sorcery and be burned alive.

All they need to do is try to stay out of sight and be aware of their surroundings. I do feel like I should buy the next book and read through that. It is a very fun adventure reading this book!

ReplyDeleteFrom my research, I know that Chip, Jonah, Katherine, and Alex should be prepared for many things in the fifteenth century. Many Europeans say that it is seen as the bridge between the Late Middle Ages, the Early Renaissance, and the Early modern period. For example, ongoing wars like the Battle of Ankara which resulted in a capture of Bayezid I. Some more things that the four of them should be prepared for is the clothing it is very different from today a lot tighter too. The food is another thing that they should be prepared for there wasn't as much variety is there is today they only had grains, such as pasta, wheat, rye, and porridge. The last thing I think they should be prepared for is getting sick or getting hurt because they don't have the same medication. They could easily face near death experiences if they hurt themselves or get sick.
From my research on the 15th Century, I learned that it was kind of like a link between The Middle Ages and the Early Renaissance period. This means things were changing. Leadership saw reigns of several kings. Farming saw many changes which brought good changes for peasants and other poor people who wanted better lives and opportunities. Merchants and others who ran businesses began to see a boom in the economy. Even women and children began to experience more rights. Philosophy and art were also becoming more well known, such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo. Things like this brought change in the 15th Century, but some people did fight for it. They used axes while fighting on foot, and swords too. Some things I think the four kids should be prepared for is any possible fighting, maybe getting sucked into working on a farm which is hard, harsh, and physical. They should be prepared to eat food they might not like, and maybe lots of potatoes. The clothing was very different back then, and I think probably pretty uncomfortable. There won't be doctors like we have today, and their entertainment might only be singing and dancing. If they have these things in mind, then maybe, MAYBE, they won't perish.
ReplyDeleteThe 15th century is the last year of the middle ages. This means no TV no computers, or anything that we use today daily. Hunting and fighting. Wars, Kings and Queens. And guards. Territory is more fought for in these times and they also don't know as much as we do now. In these times they barely had medical supplies. So 15 year olds would get married. Because in the 15th century you have a shorter life expectancy. They will have to be prepared for more advanced english. They didn't use some words that we use now. They would have to talk more advanced to talk properly to people. This is why I would rather go to the future.

The woman wore long dresses and the men wore tights and shirts with ruffles. They also ate porridge and bread. A lot of them lived as peasants and didn’t have a lot of wealth. Chip, Jonah, Katherine, and Alex should prepare for battles, different rules and a way of living. They will also need to learn how to dress like peasants and get used to eating porridge. They won’t have any modern day electronics or luxuries to rely on.

You will also will have no electricity which means when its dark its time to go to bed when your bored you can not use any electronics but you can play outside.And there is no pluming which means you must dig a hole and bury it to go to the bathroom.and most likely you will be in poverty because the kings and queens will take all your money in tax. Also be beady to wear new cloths because your wardrobe will be completely different. Girls will have to wear tight dresses and a bonnet and boys will have to wear tight pants with a long

Chip, Jonah, and Katherine should be prepared for a lot things in the fifteenth century. First, there is no electricity. Which means there will be no lights at nighttime, and they will have to use fire to light your way. Second, there will be a change of clothing. Girls will wear dresses and bonnets, while the boys will wear tight pants and shirts. Also, the meals will be very different. Bread and broth are some of the most common foods in the fifteenth century. Lastly, kids will not go to school. They will spend their days working for food and maybe a bit of money.

ReplyDeleteDuring the fifteenth century, many of the people were extremely poor. there was no electricity, or plumbing, so people would have to dig a hole and use candles. Because of the poorness, people did not have the luxury of eating whatever they wanted, some people only ate bread. Children did not go to school, they had to work to help their parents get money to feed their family.
They will also have to dress normally, back then. Katherine will have to wear a bonnet, tight corset, and a long skirt. Alex, Chip, and Jonah will have to wear tight pants with weird looking shoes and tight shirts.there will be no electronics of any type. If anyone sees them talking about or doing 21st century things, they will be accused of doing sorcery and be burned alive.

There were so many wars going on during the 15th century. They also need to look at the weapons. There are no guns during this time. The last thing they should be prepared for is the clothes. There clothes will not match anybody else's when they make it to the 15th century.
The four children should be prepared for a very difficult life. The 15th century was a time when the feudal system still existed. There were wars, diseases, and a lot of crazy stuff happening with the Catholic Church and Reformers. But Christopher Columbus also lived in that century. It would be hard to live in a world where America didn't play a part.

ReplyDeleteThe 15th century was a very different time compared to what we have today for food, clothing, housing, along with many other things. The 15th century was the century which spans the Julian years 1401 to 1500. During this time, there were many wars going on along with inventions being made and explorers exploring. Speaking of explorers, Italian explorer Cristoforo Colombo (as spoken in Italian and Christopher Columbus in English) had arrived in America. Also there was lack of good food back then. The food was different than what it is today. Also women wore beautiful dresses with shaded hats as men wore suits with top hats and fedoras. Something that the four children don't want to run into is a war field. This would most likely spell doom for the kids. Another thing they should be aware of is royalty. They could possibly run into guards and be accused of trespassing and get captured and possibly put into a cell. There would be no way of getting out of that. All they need to do is try to stay out of sight and be aware of their surroundings. I do feel like I should buy the next book and read through that. It is a very fun adventure reading this book!

Also the united states was not found until the 18 century and they are in the 15 century, so they would need different money. They would also need good shoes because they would be walking a lot. As well as they need to be prepared to protect themselves.

The four of them will also have to figure out a plan to fix time in the fifteenth century because that is what they said they would do. Also, some starved and died because they didn’t have enough food to provide themselves or their families. They also will have to get used to being cold at night because they don’t have blankets or something to keep them warm. They will also have to work to get food and shelter.

There was also the Italian war (1494-98), so if I was them I would stay away from that. They would have a hard time taking care of themselves to, because there were not any devices to help them do anything. And there was absolutely no technology in the 15th century, so they would have to deal with no video games or phones.
